Get Your Armor On!

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:10-17

The past few days I have been learning about the armor of God and how important it is that we put it on everyday. Now this can be a bit confusing (as it was for me to when I first heard about the armor of God a few years ago) because it's like, how in the world do I put on "imaginary" armor. But in fact it isn't imaginary and it is very much necessary. Here's what we need the armor of God for... The Belt of Truth- to be able to see what is false. The Breastplate of Righteousness- to be holy and righteous people for God. The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace- to keep our feet from walking in the wrong path. The Shield of Faith- to protect our bodies from the sin that will eventually kill us. The Helmet of Salvation- to keep our heads from being hit by things we don't need in them. The Sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God)- God took the time to give us His Word for a reason, so that we would be able to cling tightly to His truth!!!

All of His armor is important so this week as you go about from place to place make sure that you have on your armor as I will too. May you be richly blessed this week!!! Love you guys!!!!!
