He loves us as our Daddy

And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. Hebrews 12:5-12

I am just beginning to learn more about our Father loving us as a father. Dads are there to help their children through life and love them. Sometimes true love is discipline. When your parents tell you that you can't do something or that they are grounding you for doing something they are actually showing you love. Now believe me, the first time somebody told me that I was like, "hah, yeah, that is not them loving me it is them trying to ruin my life!" lol But I have learned a little bit and not understand that it really is love.

Sometimes, God doesn't allow certain things to turn out just the way we think we they should turn out because He always has a bigger purpose. When a prayer isn't answered the way we think it will be (and I know all about that) it's for a reason. The Lord is always thinking of His children and what is best for us, not what will always make us happy.

I just want to encourage you to allow your Heavenly Daddy to love on you and not to get mad at Him when a prayer isn't answered the way you think it should be or when something is lost because God has convicted you. Remember that He really does love you no matter what satan may be telling you on the inside. Blessings to you all!! love, love, love, love you all!!!!!!

  1. Awesome post. I always like to say when prayers aren't answered the way we want them to be, it is because that is not part of God's will. Anything that is not by God's will is bound to turn out bad. God knows us better than we know ourselves and gives us gentle discipline to shape us into the people he wants us to be. I could think of no better daddy. Our father is the king of kings! How cool is that?!?

What ya' got to say? :)
