Many Trials, May I Persevere

Wow! Can I just say what a bad week it has been? I mean, I'm just being real. This week I have struggled and struggled and struggled. Keeping my cool has been hard, and throughout the whole week God has gently been saying, "Worship Me with your LIFESTYLE." And I must say that I failed half the week and have now repented and realized that my Savior has a plan, FOR EVERYTHING!!! Let me praise Him in every situation.

The enemy has been attacking me and my family like crazy, but God has a plan. In all of it. So my new motto is when many trials come, I will persevere. Not on my own, but with God's strength I will persevere.

I want to encourage you as well, I don't know what your going through right now, or what the enemy has been throwing at you, but I know how hard it can be sometimes. Truly I do. But bro's and sis's stand strong! It's not always gonna be easy, but it really and truly will be worth it when you get to Heaven. When you meet your Maker and He says, "Well done my good and faithful servant. Even when times were rough you stood for Me and honored me with your whole life and heart."

If you want prayer on a situation you may be in, please let me know by commenting. I would love to pray for you. And never forget that when life gets the hardest God is about to do something stinkin AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love you all!!!

Worship Is A Lifestyle

Worship is truly a lifestyle not just something we do on Sunday's, or through music, but every day of our lives! God has been truly teaching my heart about this for a couple days now. He was pointing out how ungrateful I can be for all the blessings I do have, rather than the ones that I don't. To just be thankful for the everything He has given me, and not just the material things, but everything else as well. That is true worship to God, that when we don't have something we still worship God with everything we've got.

When something doesn't go my way I sometimes take it out on God, by not truly worshipping Him with my life. I don't want worship to Him to be just something I do through music, I want my life to speak volumes of my love and adoration of Him. Today I'm going to take a look at my life and see my reaction to things that don't go my way. If you want to do the same, please do. And ask yourself these 2 questions Does my reaction honor God? When things don't go exactly my way, do I still worship my Father?

We have got to show the entire world that He is in the Drivers seat of our lives. And when something doesn't go as we have planned for ourselves God still has His plan which is way more incredible than anything we can think up. I think we all struggle with worshipping God when something doesn't go as planned. Don't believe me? Check out this interview with Sam Bradford (quarterback for the Sooners)http://www.cbn.com/700club/features/amazing/sam_bradford041509.aspx and pay attention to what he says when talking about being put on the bench for his freshman year.

My challenge for you this week is when you don't get what you want, that you will still worship our Savior and remember that God has a seriously amazing plan for your life!!! - Jeremiah 29:11

be blessed!! I love you brothers and sisters in the Lord!!!!!!!

Just Be Yourself!!!

Let me ask you a question, are you at peace with yourself? It seems everyone I talk to hates something about themselves whether it's their body, the way they talk, what color hair they have and so on. I mean, believe me, I have had my issues with my body, but if we truly believe that verse above we will learn to make peace with whatever it is that we don't like about ourselves. Of course that is way easier said than done.

The fact that it is getting warmer means that spring/summer clothing is coming out which means less cloth, more skin. Which is fine, except for the people who hate the way they look, then they think it's the worst thing in the world. Let's just start the process of coming to peace with yourself...

If you need to lose weight, then there really is no getting around that. God tells us that our bodies are to be holy to Him and honor Him. That means through our clothing and through our healthiness. But God wants you HEALTHY not SKINNY, not STICK THIN, but healthy! Really it is a lot easier than we make it when wanting to lose weight. All you have to do is eat smaller portions and healthier food. I enjoy working out and if you want to work out but can't get to the gym (like me) then there are a few work out DVDs I can suggest to you. The absolute best one I have found is Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It works out everything in just 20 minutes!! If that's not your style then you can get Denise Austin's Blast Away the Pounds InDoorWalk. It's not the same as physically going for a walk and seeing the trees and the birds, but it works. :)

Okay now for the other problems ha ha...

Some notes I took from Matt Pitt of The Basement were these..

"If you don't like the way your thigh jiggles, make peace with it! Jiggle that thigh all day until you finally make peace with it."

"If you don't like the way your toe is shaped, make peace with it. It's the toe God gave you and it has a purpose."

"If you don't like that bump on your nose, make peace with it. Before God and your nose say, 'Lord, I don't know why You put this bump on my nose, but I choose to make peace with it, 'cause it's Your creation."

Whatever it is take it to the Lord and tell Him why you don't like it, and then choose to make peace with it. Your gonna have those "funny looking" feet for the rest of your life, if you are constantly at war with them, how can you be thankful for them? You can't!

So make peace with yourself today because you are beautiful. And most importantly remember that you are FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE!!!

i love you all!!!!

Starting slow, Finishing Strong

Well, God has been teaching me a lot about my life with Him. He has been teaching me that it's not about how I start my relationship with Him as much as it is how I finish it. It's just like a race, in a race you can start slow and weak and at the end of it be very strong. That's what a relationship with Jesus Christ will do, make you stronger for sure, by the end. We all know that through the Word of God, the end times will come. And weather we are around when they come or not, we all need to consider how our lives look right now, and how the outcome would be if Jesus were to come back right now.

I have been thinking about this a lot. I know that right now my relationship with my King is not as strong as I want it to be and it's not where it needs to be. I'm just being honest. If Jesus came back tonight, I would be ashamed of the way He would find me. I'm not proud admitting it, but the Word says to confess your sins to your friends and I consider you bloggies (blog readers) my friends!! :) Right now Jesus is in the process of showing me the places in my life and in my heart that need to be changed.

There are many verses in the Bible that give us the picture of our lives with Jesus being like a race. Here are a few..

Galatians 5:7, "You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?"

I wanna talk about that verse for a minute. This one hit close to home because sometimes I see myself allowing the world to make my faith in Him shake a little bit and it's like the verse says, I was running a good race and then got off track. Good thing that the Lord is so faithful in showing us when we need to be extremely careful. Okay back to some verses,

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize." 1 Corinthians 9:24

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." Acts 20:24

We need to keep going even when the going gets tough, and don't worry, God will carry you when you don't think you can go anymore. When you are tired, when you are worried, when you are worn out, God will pick you up in His loving arms and carry you to the finish line. I would be lying to you if I told you that it was going to be easy, because being a Christian is way hard but way worth it!!!!!!! There are going to be times that you are going to have stand alone, and that is where true faithfulness to our Lord is shown. I want to encourage you that if you are tired and if you are feeling alone and if you are just really wanting to quit... DON'T! Because it will be okay, let Jesus know you are tired and He will carry you through the race to the finish line! Remember, it's not how you start the race it's how you finish it! i love you all!

BELIEVE part 2

"...and no injury whatsoever was found on him, because he believed in his God." Daniel 6:23

I came across that verse about this morning when I was spending time with Jesus. It strikes me in awe of Him, how God ties together everything that He is teaching almost as if to confirm it all, that in fact it is Him that telling me whatever 'it' may be. Any who, I was just thinking about some of the things we believe in and hope in some are...

And yet when we are asked to believe firmly in God and in His Word, we aren't really sure. I hear it's because we can't visibly see God, but there is that saying of, 'you can't see the wind but you can feel it' and that is the way God is. What I love about people like Daniel and Paul and Peter is that they believed in God no matter what they were facing. They didn't care that other people in the world weren't believing in God and living set apart lives because they knew who they were in Christ Jesus and they knew that no matter what that is where they are to find their identity.

We need to believe in God that He will provide for us, not the other way around and getting what we "need" and thanking Him later. God wants our total trust and that we will truly depend on HIM. Not on people, not in homes and not in things, we need to trust in Him and Him alone. It's not easy and can be painful sometimes, but God is totally trustworthy!! We can lean on Him and He not fall. Please remember that when the economy is seeming to fall or when you have a need that needs to be filled. God will provide!! I have completely learned that firsthand.

love you all and have a blessed weekend!!

When I was in worship this morning s0mething amazing happened. God began speaking to me about believing. It was crisp and clear and I know exactly what God is telling me. The past week has been kinda rough because of some things and I haven't been trusting in God like I need to. God was telling me to just believe in Him. To know that no matter what is going on He is gonna be there and will help me through anything and everything! He will do the same for you.

Something that is very prominent in the Bible and something that no one can deny, is that God is there. Through everything in the Bible God has shown and no one is ever alone. God will NEVER, EVER, EVER leave us!! And if we cling to that and believe that then we won't worry like the rest of the world and we won't get too discouraged when something happens because we believe that God is who He says He is and who He shows He is and that nothing can ever touch us that will matter.

So I just want to encourage you as God has encouraged me, to trust in Him and to believe in Him and the promises He has given us all. He will never LEAVE you nor FORSAKE you!! blessings to you all!!! i love you guys soo soo much!!!

Walking in the World

God has been showing me how to be a set apart, leader for Him. Not for my sake and not for my glory. Every thing I say is something that He has shown me and something that He has placed on my heart. With that said, God has been showing me specifically about walking in the world but not of it.

On the news all I hear is hopelessness being talked about. How the economy is SO bad and it will be very hard to fix and all this stuff and while it is not to be taken too lightly it is also something not to be allowed to overtake your life with worry and stuff. Why? Because God is in control. Instead of calling it 'our economy' how about we call it 'God's economy' because He is ultimately the One in control.

Jesus has taught me something extremely important. And that is to walk in the world with hope and not with hopelessness. "Walk by faith and not by sight." And I was thinking about it, what if we really did walk by FAITH like when people are saying there is nothing you can do about the economy you can say, "Yes there is, I can pray because it is all in God's plan and in His hands." or when someone tells you that life is just too hard you can say, "It's hard sometimes, but it is well worth living it to God's glory!!"

Walking in the world and not being of it isn't as hard as we make it. If we truly get to know our King and if we truly settle ourselves within Him, then we will become content with who He is and not with what the rest of the world is thinking or doing. What the rest of the world says your "missing out on" is actually not missing out on anything at all because when you know your God and I mean truly know Him you have found what you are to live for and that is all that matters!!

So I want to encourage my brothers and sisters out there not to be moved by the world and it's lies and quote "standards" but to stand firmly in the place that God has for you to stand and be in His standards. love you all so much!! God Bless~

"When we are set free from the bondage of pleasing others, when we are free from currying others' favor and others' approval- then no one will be able to make us miserable or dissatisfied. And then, if we know we have pleased God, contentment will be our consolation." Kay Arthur

Authentic Beauty

I just finished reading Authentic Beauty by Leslie Ludy. God has gifted Leslie with a talent like no other. I was in Awe of my Savior as I was reading this book. I think that EVERY woman or girl should read this book. What it has done while I have been reading it is beyond words. This book will show you have to encounter your True Prince in a way that you have never known. This book will show you how to have godly relationships and that sometimes in order to truly honor your Prince you have to give up some things and some people. While I was reading this God began a great work on my heart and He isn't done yet. There were painful moments but God is the Healer and has broken through a lot of walls built up in my heart that I didn't even know were there. I just really encourage all of you to pick up a copy of this book and read it and I know the Lord will bless your heart as you do!! Leslie Ludy has a website and if you want to visit it http://authenticgirl.com go to the link :) love you all!

And The Difference Is....

"And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean." Ezekiel 44:23

First to start off this post, I want to remind everyone who reads this that none of us are perfect, we are just forgiven. However we as God's servants are called to live a different life.

Now, when I was reading that verse this morning God began together things that I have been learning about the past few weeks. God has been taking me on a journey. He has been preparing my heart for ministry I believe and He has been getting rid of a lot of junk that has been in my life and my heart. It has been a bit painful, but so worth it. Anyways, God began speaking to me this morning. He was showing me the world and then He was showing me the Church. And BOOM! hit me like a ton of bricks, there wasn't much difference between either one. The Church looks just like the world. Now I'm not saying all of the Church, there are the few who let their lives look different, but I believe that it is time for the whole Church as ONE to Unite and be the example.

The first thing God showed me was the clothing. Whatever happened to 'Modest is Hottest'? Now I have no problem with what people wear, God doesn't look at the outside He looks at the heart and the lifestyle. But I do have a problem when someone wears something that causes a brother or sister to sin. People only talk about how girls should dress modest so that guys don't sin, but what about guys dressing modest so that girls don't sin? Yes, girls have that problem too. Maybe not as much, but I have talked with many, many, girls who have said, "I wish guys would wear their pants so low." or "I wish guys weren't always walking around with their shirt off for no good reason except to show off their body." I'm not saying that girls need to walk around with dresses on and that they should be down to the floor, but how about wearing things that fit rightly and maybe don't show off as much of your body. We girls need to show ourselves a little respect. And guys, how about wearing your pants a little higher so that we don't see your boxers every time you bend over. We are called to live differently and sometimes that means looking different. If someone doesn't like you simply because you aren't wearing stuff that comes up to your belly button, then they never liked you in the first place.

The second thing God showed me was that we as Christians fill our minds with the same stuff as the world. We watch the same shows that the world watches and as much as I want to say, oh but it's okay blah, blah, blah.. I can't because that's not the truth. When we watch TV shows that are filled with cussing, sex, among other things that stuff will eventually begin to dwell in your mind. Same thing for music, when we listen to the worldly music it will eventually weigh on our minds and cause us to sin because our minds aren't honoring God. I'm not saying cut the TV off (because if your like me, there is a slight "need" for TV at times lol ;) but just check what your watching and ask yourself, if Jesus was sitting next to me would He be happy with what I'm watching? I've had to cut TV shows off before because I know that they aren't honoring Him.

And lastly God showed me the lifestyle. I read an interview one time with a person who wouldn't go to Church and when they asked that person why they replied, "Because every time I go to Church I see people doing the exact same thing I am, except they call themselves a 'Christian', but I'm not looking for the same thing, I want something different." And it's the truth. I've had times when my life was looking the same as everybody elses and when I noticed God began showing me how to change that. I have been at Church before and heard some people say something very... filthy. Our lifestyles NEED to be different not for our sake, but because we are representing the King of kings and our lifestyle will show the world who He is, not just who we are.

I'm not pointing the finger or saying that I am so much better than someone else. What I am saying is that all of us, myself included need to take a look at our lives and see what needs to be changed so we can better represent our Savior. It's not easy and sometimes it's gonna be painful, but let me tell you right now that you will feel SOO much better when you can sit before the Lord knowing that you are different for His cause!!!! I LOVE all of you!!! God bless~!

REAL or FAKE life

"..I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10 NKJV

In the above verse Jesus was telling us about the life that we can if we will accept Him as the Lord of our life. But for so many people that is the last place they look for Life. Here are just some of the places/things people look for life..

*things like clothes or homes, etc.

It breaks my heart that people all around the world are seriously looking for life, but they don't know how to find it. Which is where we as Christians come in. Our job is to go to people and tell them about who the Lord is. But you know what is even sadder is that if we see someone living in sin like a prostitue or someone on drugs we don't invite them to church or tell them about Jesus. Why? Everybody needs true life! None of us can deserve it, so who are we to say who gets life and who doesn't?

This is just a reminder to everyone including myself to not be so judgemental but to love on people and really show them Jesus Christ through you!! You never know who's life will be changed and who's life you can impact and point them to the Lord. Remember that only God Himself can draw others to Him.

~love you guys~

Searching for Souls

"My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them." Ezekiel 34:6

Wow, it absolutely sticks me in awe with God reveals things like the verse above to me. Everything is finally piecing together. God has been teaching me so much and really I was trying to figure out why He was teaching me some of it and finally I know, we are all on this earth for one purpose and that is to know God and make Him known. But I believe that for the majority that verse in Ezekiel is exactly what we are doing. Not searching for lost souls.

However, there are a few people (hopefully you) who choose to defy the odds and go find some lost souls and tell them about the amazing Man who died for them. I hear people say all the time, "I just wanna tell someone about Jesus." And for many times that person was me. But we never think to physically go out and find that person. I pray all the time for God to bring people to me to tell about Him which is good, but maybe I should instead, be praying for courage to reach out to people and go to them. Sometimes it's easy to find people and other times it's hard. I mean, don't you have bad days when you just really don't want to tell people about Jesus? I do. But we gotta keep out priorities straight and make sure that we are truly doing His will.

We as Christians have the power to tell someone out there in the world that life is not hopeless and that Jesus is NOT dead HE IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! But we can all rest assured if we haven't been seeking people because God tells us in Ezekiel 34:16 "I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the the broken and strengthen what was sick."

So I challenge to you and to myself to physically go out search for someone who needs some hope. As the quote goes, "You may be the only Bible someone ever reads." Let them see Jesus' love shining brightly through your life. Let them see the true Love of the Father in you. You'd be surprised what a simple 'how are you?' and staying to really listen to what the person's response is, can bring an opportunity for you to tell them about Jesus Christ!!! I love you guys!! Hope you all have a blessed weekend!!

World That Breaks

The past few days I have been praying that God would show me the things that break His heart and have them break mine. And He has done just that!

Okay I was watching TV the other day and there was a girl on there talking about her life goals. Her whole life she has been in and out of parties and has been addicted to alcohol her whole life. When she was asked about her life goal she said, "I don't want to live past 30." That absolutely broke my heart. My heart fell to the floor thinking about that "goal" for her. If she could only see that she is a Princess of the Most High. That she has potential and God has so much planned for her if she will open her heart to Him.

There are so many hurting people in this world. What I want to do is show them the help and healing that the Father can give them. I have a friend who showed me her arm- cuts all up and down it. BREAKS MY HEART! She is hurting so bad that she has to bleed to let go of it all.

There are hurting people out there. This is a world that breaks, thankfully we have the power to show them that God can help them and God can heal them and if they will open their hearts to Him SO many blessings will come from that and their life will be better than they ever thought it could be.

So I want to challenge you as I am doing the same to pray that God bring you someone who is hurting so that you can tell them of this amazing LOVE that the Father has for that person! love y'all!!!

The Set Apart Life

What do people see when they look at your life?

This was a question I woke up with a few weeks ago. It made me start thinking about what I spend my time doing and why. I've come to realize a lot of different things that I do when I'm bored. But God challenged me to take a look at what I do and to see if it glorifies Him. And so I did. I began writing down some things I do that maybe I could do a little less of and I began to see that I spend way too much time on some type of media. Mainly the TV. So I have decided to consciously lower the amount of time I spend watching TV and spend that time doing something else like praying, or serving, or maybe calling a friend that I haven't talked to in awhile. Still a work in progress ;)

So, after spending time in that I began in my head thinking about what I do and comparing it to what the world does. God has been speaking to me about having a set-apart life for Him. Not like everybody else at all. So We are in the process of weeding out some things that don't need to be in my life. But God began showing me people in the world who were set apart for Him and didn't care what other people thought of them. Sometimes it's amazing to have an example. :)

Of course the first One was Jesus, who is the most Awesome One ever! Jesus' life showed the true passion of Someone who LOVED the Father with all their being and lived that out! Jesus knew what His purpose was and is!! Then God showed me people like..

Paul- who went from one end to the other. He started out hating Christians and the soon later became one and was probably one of the most radical in the Bible. He told us in Galatians that he didn't care what people thought because if he did he wouldn't be God's servant. Because he wouldn't have that set apart life to be able to not care what people thought.

Peter- Even though he denied Christ he was still radical. He had that set apart life for Jesus because he knew what happened when he denied Jesus Christ and he did not want to go there again. Peter was so devoted to Jesus that when he was sentenced to death on a cross he told them to hang him upside down on it for he didn't want to die the same way his King had.

Then there are people like Amy Carmichael, Elisabeth Elliot, Beth Moore, and Stephanie Smith who lived lives or are living lives that are set apart for Christ. Not caring what people think of them but are going after the callings that God has on their life.

My challenge to you and to myself is find that set apart life God has for you and live it to the best of your ability. Not looking like the rest of the world, or talking like the rest of the world or dressing like the rest of the world but living like God has called them to live! Being different isn't bad at all! The world tells us it is because the world is scared of what may happen when someone steps out and lives differently. I don't know about you, but I am going to live that "different" life and I really and truly hope you will join me!! love you guys!! blessings~

My Mind Is Hurting Me!

Yeah, it's true that your mind can hurt you. How do I know? you may ask yourself. Because I have learned so first hand. I thought that my thinking patterns didn't really matter... that they were just that, thoughts, and only thoughts. But quickly have I learned that what you dwell on during the day can hurt your relationship with Christ. Thankfully He showed me!

In Matthew Jesus tells us, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37 NKJV)

However, I ignored God time and time again the past month when He has been telling me to get rid of the things in my mind that are hurting my relationship with Him. Some thoughts were, I don't like her or him or no one understands me or they like her better than they like me. And soon after that they become more than just thoughts. They became my life. More than just in my mind, it transferred into my heart. Once it's in your heart it just becomes tougher and tougher to get out of your life.

After about 3 weeks of ignoring God, wrestling with God, and being stubborn. I finally realized that the only was that I can be usable by God is if He has complete control over my life. So I SURRENDERED. May I say that is a blessing!! *Breathes in after being set free* When you are set free from something there is nothing like it in the world. So this is just a story to let you know that if God is tugging at your heart to get rid of something that can hurt you, it may be a painful process, but it will definitely be sooo much better after you do! love you all!! blessings~

Do We Really Pray Anymore?

Gosh, how God has been working in me the past few weeks has been rough and amazing all at the same time. Let me tell you that there was sin God was telling me about a few weeks ago and I ignored Him for a loongg time. Word to the wise.. listen to God when He tells you something because it brings more blessings when you do! Well.. you live and you learn. :) And after God took me through the painful journey of getting the stuff that needed to be gotten out, out of my life He started speaking to me about prayer.

Here's the scene, a friend just told you about a heartbreaking thing that just happened in her life. You respond by telling her that you will be praying for her. In the middle of the week you remember that you need to pray for her so while running out the door to get to work you say a quick, sweet prayer for her.

Do you ever do that? Forget to pray for someone and then remember later but don't REALLY pray? Well if you haven't I certainly have. Which is why I have developed the new but yet so simple thing of writing down the prayer requests before I forget. But I have come to the realization that I don't really pray for people. I say something quick and simple. Which then probed me with this question, what would happen if we REALLY PRAYED for people? Think of all the miracles and soft-sweet voices God would bring about!! That would absolutely change lives!

My new goal is to begin really praying for people. Getting down on my face and feeling the pain that that person may be feeling. Really allowing my heart to break for the things that breaks God's. That's my desire. I challenge you to do the same. I feel that praying for people helps keep the focus off ourselves and on Him and others. So, take some time out to really pray for people as will I this week and let's watch God do the rest!!! l o v e y a l l

Easter Weekend! WOO!

Well, we all know that this weekend is Easter weekend. But many of us don't know why we celebrate Easter. I look around me and all I see is what we can get from Easter. You get the Easter bunny or something special from your husband or wife or lots of food or whatever. Which that stuff is fine, but I think our focus is being cut off from what it needs to be on. This weekend is a celebration and a time to humble ourselves at the foot of the Cross. Jesus died. That's the AWESOME thing He did for YOU! Not for your neighbor, not for the person sitting next to you at church, but individually He died for you! Jesus' core purpose on this earth was to die for you, so that you could LIVE for Him. That is true life. In Luke 23 it gives the Crucifixion very detailing. Verses 39-43 says this,

"Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save yourself and us." But the other, answering, rebuked him saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

I love that! The fact that even while Jesus right there, dieing on the Cross for us, He was still bringing people to the Father! That is the power Jesus Christ has. Maybe you don't understand what He did for you willingly. Let me tell you that when Jesus was in court people blasphemed Him, slapped Him and beat Him. The Roman soldiers flogged Him so badly because in their time there was no limit to how many times they could hit someone. Let me tell you that back then, what they hit you with wasn't anything like a gun or a knife. No! It was much more painful. They had whips, with pieces of glass, broken pottery, nails and whatever else they could find tied to the end of the whips. They dipped it in goats blood because that acts as glue to skin and there was much infection in goats blood which could kill you before you even made it to the end of the beating. You may be thinking, 'I don't wanna know this.' And that's okay, some people don't need details to know what Jesus did for them, but some people just really don't get it until they KNOW it.

On top of the beating they forced Him to carry His own Cross. Then, while He was on the Cross they cast lots for His clothing. FOR HIS CLOTHES!!!!!! This Man, whom did absolutely nothing but tell them the Truth, was being brutally killed while they played games for His clothing. In the Word it tells us that Jesus, while on the Cross, said this, "I am thirsty." Many of the people then and now believe that He was saying He was thirsty for something to drink. And who knows. But I believe that Jesus was speaking to the devil basically saying, "Hey, is this all you got? 'Cause I am thirsty." We'll never know until we meet Him but I like to think of it that way. You have to understand. Jesus was/is a WARRIOR. Nothing less of One could go through all that and still have strength. When Jesus died that's where sin died. That's where sin could no longer have a hold on any one of us any longer. Nor death. Three days later Jesus rose! He rose from the dead and showed Himself to His disciples. Guess what?!! That was God showing us that very day, that sin which = death no longer could have a hold on us all because of One Man choosing to die for life.

I want to encourage you reading this right now, don't give up on Christ. If you haven't excepted Him into your heart I highly encourage you to do so. There is a prayer on the side of my blog which you can pray and in that instant Christ wraps you in His arms and Heaven throws a huge party because YOU are now SAVED. Don't forget what our King did for us. In the song Amazing Love it says, Amazing Love, how can it be? That You, My King, would die for me." That's right, OUR KING died for us, so will you die to yourself and live for Him? Only you can decide that.

God bless you all, love y'all!

"God, hold my anger"

"I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and not one to rebuke them..." Ezekiel 3:26

I read this in the Word this morning and God spoke to me through it. Recently a struggle of mine has been holding my tongue. As Galatians 5:23 says self control is one of the fruits of the spirit. That would be self control in everything, including in our speaking. God knows that we have problems and that each one of us has a different struggle we need help with every single day. God is happy to help us, but we need to put in the same effort as well. Which I have to say that I haven't been. (Remember my blog title.. NOT perfect, ONLY forgive :) Holding my tongue has been my most difficult struggle this week, but as always God reminds me that I am living for Him and that life is a set-apart life, not like the rest of the world. And while the rest of the world may quick to anger and quick to yelling at someone or saying something that you will regret later, the set-apart Christian prays about it and does their absolute best to not be easily angered or quick to speak.

Of course we will fail. That's just part of being human, but God knows our hearts, and if your heart is in the right place and you are really trying to not to sin against Him, He'll know! It's soo hard to just bite your tongue and smile and love someone that is making you angry, but there is a bigger blessing in doing that, than there is when you get angry at someone and yell at them.

I've decided to pay close attention to my words and my actions. I'm really gonna start trying to not be easily angered or easily led to sin. When we start to pray God starts doing things so when you think all hope is lost remember that the King is here with you and is holding you. Will you join me in this good fight of faith? I hope you will! many blessings to you all!!

Dreams, Dreams, Dreams...

We all have dreams. Every single one of us has something that we want to do or would like to do in the future. Some of our dreams are crazy, some are silly, and some are very hopeful. Whatever they are, we have them. But the question is, will we give our dreams over to God so that He can make them His? Probably one of the most difficult things in life is just surrendering to God completely. Giving over every single aspect of our lives and I think it's a thing we struggle with every day. I think it's actually a life long process because there will always be something new that we will need to give over to God. So one of the main things I hear a lot is that giving a dream over to God is one of the hardest things to do. Whether it's a dream of being a singer or author, being married, going to college, etc. We must give it over to God. One of the things I've learned is that God can dream bigger dreams for you than you can ever imagine!!! If you think your dreams are awesome you outta see the dreams that God has for you! They would blow your mind completely. It is a process you have to go through just like anything else, to give your dreams over to God. One thing that I find helps me with anything I am struggling with to give over to God is writing down all the things I need to give to Him. Pray over it and ask God to help you surrender completely to Him. When I feel at peace after praying over it, rip up that piece of paper into tiny pieces or burn it (with parents permission) which kinda symbolizes the giving it to God. I promise that you will be blessed when you give over your dreams to God because then you will be able to see the dreams that He has planned for you and your life. love. love. love. you all!!!

It's up to Him

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

When I was growing up I heard that verse above over and over again and soon it didn't mean a thing to me. Maybe that was because I wasn't open to the Lord just yet. Anyhow, this amazing thing the Lord is teaching me is trust. I know that may sound kinda weird, but trusting isn't the easiest thing to do. One of the hardest things for me actually. But recently God has brought me to a point to where I know that no matter what is going on in my life I can completely trust Him with all my heart and not worry about a thing. It's easier said than done, but it is worth it.

Life has been somewhat hard this week and I haven't known where to turn except to God (which is the only One to turn to :) and I've been praying trying to figure out what God's will is and what He wants me to be doing. Finally I am learning that He will show me in His timing and I just need to TRUST HIM. It's all up to Him. It's so easy to say, "Just trust God, He will always pull through for you." But it's harder to believe.

There are many examples in the Bible of people completely trusted God. There is (in no particular order) Paul, Ruth, Naomi, Esther, John, Sarah, Job, David, Jonathan, Mary, etc. They knew their God, that God the Father will come through for all of His children. I'm reminded of a movie I like, Rudy. Ever seen that movie? Well, you should go rent it if you haven't! Rudy was a small guy, from a fairly small family yet he had a dream to play football at Notre Dame. He didn't care that the whole world was telling him that he couldn't do it that he was "too small" throughout the movie you see him work his butt off and he also prays to God because he knows that if there is any One who can achieve the impossible it is God! Won't ruin the movie for ya, but Rudy trusted God with his life and is richly blessed by that.

That's what we can have too is RICH BLESSINGS. But only if we trust God with everything we have. Our lives, our thoughts, our money, our house, our whole beings. All of it. Believe God when He says, "I will direct your paths." Because it's true! I'm still in the process of learning that. Hope you have a richly blessed weekend!!! i love you all soo soo much!!!!

Redeeming Love

Okay, I just read one of the best books I have ever read! Obviously nothing is better than the Bible. There is nothing out there that can fill us spiritually like the Bible can. But anyways, I just finished reading Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. God blessed my heart so much I can barely hold in all in! Ever had just like incredibly exciting joy? You know, the kind that makes you want to scream at the top of your lungs from happiness? Well, God did that to me through this book. This book is based on the Book of Hosea in the Bible and I want to tell you that if you haven't read this book you need to buy or check it out at the library because it is definitely God all up in it!! It takes you along on the journey of 2 main people, Michael Hosea and Angel. Two completely different people brought together by One mighty God! You will cry, laugh, feel sorrow, anger and all sorts of stuff in this book. This is probably one of the only fiction books I've read in a long time that touched my heart so deeply and only God can take the credit for that. My prayer is that when you read this book God will touch your heart deeply with the love that He has for you. Sooo go get the book! ha ha

love you all!!

"I can't Stop!"

Galatians 5:22 says,
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law"

Well, when I was reading this God just spoke right there the minute my eyes crossed over self control. You know, sometimes it's hard to say stop to something. There a many things that are very difficult to just say stop to. Here are a few:

anger (ever tried to stop arguing? Sometimes isn't it just really hard?),
buying things,
being with that guy or girl (and not kissing them or going too far),
your weight,
drinking... etc.

I've had my fair share of things that took so long to get under control. The thing is was that I always told myself about that particular thing that I had no problem and it was all under control. But so many times that was just a lie to make myself feel better. And you know the other was that I always tried to help myself on my OWN.

But guess what? You can't help yourself alone. God is there for a reason! He wants to love on you and you love Him back and He wants to help you through this hard life. He walks side by side with you all through life whether you acknowledge Him or not. And the great things about stuff we can't control is that we were never created to deal with them on our own. Jesus doesn't expect us to do it on our own. All we have to do is say, "Savior, I need help. I can't control this myself, will You help me?" And in that instance the Father wraps His arms around you and says, "Yes, I will." You may be thinking to yourself, whoa I can do that? Yeah you can! Just take a look at what He wrote to you,

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

You better believe that because it is sooo TRUE!! I've experienced it all first hand and let me tell you that there is nothing better than willingly telling God you can't do it and need Him because it seems, no it is, that you will be a whole lot more blessed than you ever thought you could be. So give a try, if there is something your having difficulty controlling go to the Father and ask Him for His help because with a smile He will!!! love you all!!!!!!!
