The Verse That Messed Me UP!!!!!

So the coolest thing happened to me the other day. I was praying and had asked God to show me something in His Word and then I flipped right to this verse in my Bible,

"When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me."- Psalm 27:10

That verse messed me up!!! And it brought tears to my eyes. Some of you know that my father left out of my life when I was little, but knowing that even when my father left the Lord was still there to take care of me is so comforting and incredible.

What I want to tell you (the person taking time to read this) is Jesus loves you sooo much!!!! And maybe your father or mother or both have left out on you and you just feel like no one is trustworthy anymore and you can't depend on anyone because you've been hurt so bad, that Jesus, He is the One that you can put all your hope and trust in because He will never fail you and never make you hurt and feel worthless. Jesus would not have gone to the Cross for a worthless person, He did that just for you so you could see your worth through His eyes!!

Take some time to talk to the Lord about the hurt you've been feeling or are feeling right now. Allow yourself to cry and just be messed up before Jesus. He will wrap His amazingly strong arms around you and not let you go and you can feel His love and warmth all around you. Please remember that He loves you and will take care of you. He rejoices over you with singing!!!! :) Be blessed! Have a great Saturday!!!!!!

Sometimes you get tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. Or maybe you are wanting something different. So what do you do? Redecorate. We people redecorate our homes, cars (upgrade or new car), and even ourselves by getting a little makeover... you know like getting your hair did and new clothes. ;)

Well just like you redecorate all that stuff our hearts sometimes need a little "redecorating". But just like redecorating a home takes time, redecorating your heart takes time. It's all a process. But if you are like me then sometimes you just don't want to wait. I want things done and changed now. But the Lord has been showing me that it will take time like anything does and to be patient even when I really don't want to be.

I've learned some redecorating tips and wanted to share them with you:
Change your surroundings - Change some of the people you hang out with if they aren't following the Lord because your friends can bring you down, you cannot bring them up with you. The people you hang around can influence you a lot and bring about bad habits.

Add some Light - Allow the Lord to reveal things to you by spending time with Him and getting to know Him. Read His Word and worship Him. This helps us to keep our focus on Who really matters. And the Light your heart will see will change you a lot.

Clean up the mess - Take a look at what you watch, listen to, read, and do. If it is something that doesn't glorify Jesus get rid of it, take it out of your life. You may think it's painful to do but once it's out of your life you will be so much more blessed. Trust me on this one, I KNOW!

I hope that this blessed somebody and that you all have a wonderfully blessed night!!!

Doubtful. Does He Change?

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 8:13

That is TRUTH right there!!! Jesus never, never, never, never, EVER changes!!! His Word never changes and He never changes. That takes some time to learn (at least for me) as stupid as it might be because the devil attacks at us and tells us lies. Jesus said that the devil is "the father of lies." and he will do anything possible to make us sin and forget God. And one of the most popular things he gets us to do is doubt. Doubt God, doubt ourselves, and doubt the people around us. And when we doubt guess what happens? We begin to rethink everything and anything which leads to serious trouble for us, especially when we rethink Jesus and who He is.

Sometimes satan uses doubt in our minds only, but other times doubt can come into our lives. Through bad situations we being to think that God is as good as we thought He was or else something bad wouldn't have happened. What's funny is we believe that lie that satan places in our thoughts and why? Since we know that he is the father of lies.

So, do you believe me? Better yet, don't believe me. Spend some time with Jesus (the One who can change your life for the better forever) and see what He is like. Just do it, and maybe you will see that the Lord really never ever changes. That He has never changed. And that He never will. I love you all and pray this blesses someone.

What Do I Know Of Holy?

Wow, God has been revealing Himself a lot through music lately. The latest song would be 'what do I know of holy' by Addison Road. That song is one that really gets to the core of me. I think the part of the song that says, "I think I made You too small/I never feared You at all." Really made me/makes me think. Because sometimes I worship God like He is one of my friends. Which He is my closest, nearest, bestest Friend. But He is SO much more than that and in worship I want to reflect that I recognize Him as my Creator and not just some "man upstairs".

So I wanted to share with you the lyrics to song because I really find them amazing, but also be sure to check out the song on itunes because you can't really get the beauty of the song unless you hear it. Love you all!!!!!!!

What Do I Know of Holy by Addison Road
I made You promises a thousand times
I tried to hear from Heaven
But I talked the whole time
I think I made You too small
I never feared You at all
If You touched my face would I know You?
Looked into my eyes could I behold You?

What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire?
Are You fury?
Are You sacred?
Are You beautiful?
What do I know?
What do I know of Holy?

I guess I thought that I had figured You out
I knew all the stories and I learned to talk about
How You were mighty to save
Those were only empty words on a page
Then I caught a glimpse of who You might be
The slightest hint of You brought me down to my knees

What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of wounds that will heal my shame?
And a God who gave life "its" name?
What do I know of Holy?
Of the One who the angels praise?
All creation knows Your name
On earth and heaven above
What do I know of this love?

What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of Holy?

You Are MATCHLESS!!!!!

I heard this amazing song the other day. It's called Matchless by Aaron Shust and it is just filled with truth and love for our Savior. I love the song a lot and it really made me think about how God really is matchless. There is no one and nothing that can compare to Him and His awesome, AWESOME ways. I am so unworthy and yet He loves me so so much. I don't deserve Him, I can't repay Him, but I CAN praise Him. I praise the Lord for loving me and saving me and setting me free, every single day!!!!! The lyrics below are to Aaron Shust's song. Please take a look at the lyrics or better yet go to iTunes and find it. It's a GREAT song. I love you all and have a blessed day!!

Matchless by: Aaron Shust
Son of a Man,
Great I am,
King of heaven,
Son of God,
You hold the measure of my days
Holy Lamb,
spotless Lamb,
You are worthy,
I am not
Before Your throne
I stand amazed
Every tongue confess and every knee will bow
To Jesus Christ the Lord forever,
hear our praises now

Your name is matchless,
Your name is priceless
Your name means more than i could know
You're so far above me,
the way that you love me goes further than any love could go

Wonderful Counselor,
Root of David,
morning star You are the way,
the truth,
the life
Lion of the tribe of Judah,
Mighty God is who you are
The only Perfect sacrifice

In Your name You took the blind man and You gave him back his sight
In Your name You took the dead man and You brought him back to life
In Your name You took this prisoner and You opened up the doors
And I will sing before Your throne forever more

Chorus 1x

I Killed Jesus and Jesus Saved Me!

The first time I saw that picture (from c28.com) I thought, hmmm... I'm not sure I like that. But the more I began to think about it the more I thought well, that is what my sin did so it is completely true. I really did kill Jesus and yet Jesus still saved me. Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise be to Him because had it not been for Him and His incredible love where I would be I don't know. Just remember that your did kill Jesus but He loves you so much that He saved you anyway!!! Be blessed!

I Will Not Be Silent

As I continue to look around our world I find myself feeling fear and worry. I know that I don't need to fear or worry because as long as I have Jesus my life is alright. But I just get worried because all I can see is people pushing Jesus away and pushing Him away... and pushing Him away. And when we start taking God out of our schools, work places, homes, etc. we are in deep trouble.

I do not like the direction our Country is headed. There are many things that I disagree with, however I continue to wait for someone to speak up and actually take a stand for what God has called us to do and be and there are very few out there who are willing to do so.

I am telling you (the people out there running our Country and the people out there who are pushing Christ away and out of everything ) that I WILL NOT BE SILENT. I will stand for Jesus Christ and what God's Word says regardless of whether it's the popular thing to do, the safe thing to do, or even the political thing to do. I know Who has gotten me where I am and Who has blessed me with the life I am living and had it not been for Jesus I would not be here. So I refuse to silence myself simply because it might cause people to be uncomfortable or offended.

My friends, our Country right now needs more prayer and fasting than ever before. I had spent a lot of time trying to figure out whether or not to post something on this or not and finally decided it is time. We as Christians have nothing to fear because God will take care of us. Right now we need to search God's Word to find what He wants us to do. Let's not let people quiet us down from speaking God's truth. I love you all and more importantly Jesus does!!!!! Be blessed!

Back On Track

Who am I to judge someone or tell them how to live? I'm not. I can't. I tell people what Jesus has told me, and that has been to live for Him and do my best to glorify Him and point others to the Lord.

I can tell you guys that it bothers me when people tell me what to do and when they start judging me I get annoyed. I have learned from personal experience (and I'm sure you have too) what it feels like to be judged and how it can hurt and anger you. So all of us knowing that how is it we just sometimes can't seem to help ourselves (maybe not you, but I know I do) to judge others. I am no perfect person, I try to be an example but I fail like everyone else at times. I don't know why I judge but it just happens sometimes. The great thing is that the Lord gently points me to His way and when I'm not doing His way He shows me how to get back on track. I have learned this firsthand.

And that's what I want you to know is that God always brings a way for you to get back on track no matter what you've done or where you've been. Sin can get the best of all of us, if we were perfect like Jesus who He is wouldn't be as amazing. We wouldn't have anything to strive to be like, so since we are human and not perfect (just forgiven) the Lord gives us the forgiveness we need and the love we need to pick up where we left off and get back on track for Him and His plans for each one of our lives. I felt that someone needed encouragement that God has not left you alone and that you HAVEN'T messed up too much for Him to still love you or forgive you. God loves YOU (yes, YOU, reading this right now) soooo much more than you will EVER be able to know. But I hope that you do know that He in fact does love you and that there is nothing, no one, and no way for Him not to.

I pray this blesses some one's heart. Love you peoples!! :))

Surrender, Surrender, Surrender

I admit to you guys (my brothers and sisters) that sometimes I don't listen. I am a hard-headed fool sometimes (ha ha, God did choose the foolish things, right? ;) and I like to do things my way. But since becoming a Christian a few years ago I have learned that God's way is so much better than my own and while I may want to do things my way at times, I have to surrender and let Him have His way in my life.

But you know, sometimes it's not as simple as saying, "okay, I surrender." because it can be a struggle. I mean, if you want to be something and then your trying to make your way up to reach your goal, sometimes God will ask you to stop and let Him do what He wants. But since sometimes what we want to be God has a different plan for us you have to be willing to let go of your dreams so that the dreams God has for you can shine through.

I have learned that even if you think that you have got your life under control and don't need the Lord you will eventually fall flat on your face because no one and by no one I mean NO ONE can live life without the Lord. You can try, but you will not succeed.

So as a reminder to you and to myself let God be the LORD of your life and surrender your all to Him no matter how difficult. It can be a process but you will find that your life is so much more blessed with Him as the Drive and you as the Passenger. Love you all!!

A Short Post For You...

"Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man, is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses." Acts 13:38-39

This is a verse that I read early yesterday and so I wanted to share it with you. This is a short post to anyone who doesn't know the Lord, that through Him all your sins can be forgiven but it is up to you whether you are willing to allow Him to forgive all your sins or not. So right now you can make a choice, will you or won't you believe in the Lord Jesus? I pray you accept Him. Love you guys!

I Rejoice In Following Jesus!

“I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.”-Psalm 119:14

I read this on Bible gateway's site today and it sparked something in me. Do I really rejoice in doing God's commandments? Do you? We as Christians, do we take delight in doing as the Lord calls us? The answer can be yes and no, some of us do and some of us don't.

I was thinking about me and asking myself this question. I want to rejoice in following God's commandments because they are truly the best for my life and standards that NEED to be set up in me, but sometimes I feel like I am missing out (which really I'm not) and so I don't rejoice as I should. Do you do that sometimes too? Not be happy about following what God says simply because you feel like everyone else is having fun and your not?

One thing we (you and me) can do to be happy doing God's commandments and rejoice in them is compare our joy to the worlds. The worlds joy lasts but a few moments and then fades. Why? Because they don't have the One who satisfies and who is the Joy-Filler. Our joy (as Christians) is amazing (or should be). Why? Because we have Jesus, the One who loves us so unconditionally and incredibly and fills us with His joy that only He can give.

So really you and I are not missing out on anything in the long run. Jesus loves us so rejoicing in God's commandments shouldn't be difficult at all. All we really need is Him. And if you don't believe that, sorry to tell you, but you are wrong. When all is gone all you will have left is Him. He is everything! I pray this touches some one's heart. I love you all!!! I end this in saying, I rejoice in following Jesus!!!!!!!!

I Am Blessed

Isn't it weird how sometimes we can take so much for granted, even the simple things? I've come to realize that sometimes I don't see how blessed I truly am until I look and see the people around me and what they need, and then I see that I have so much. I am truly blessed.

I take for granted the legs and arms I have and the freedom that I have. I take for granted the simple things like clothes and food, that so many people are starving and needing. And God has brought to me this: if I can supply for some of these needs and share Jesus through me why don't I? And if I can supply for some of people's needs, how much more the Lord can supply for all of us. And not just stuff that fades away, but real, eternal, important things like Salvation.

Think of all the people (and maybe your one of them) who are just searching and crying out for someone to save them. The Lord can set you free from everything that bounds you and holds you down and give you freedom that lasts forever. All you have to do is begin an intimate growing relationship with Him and you can experience Him like never before. There is a prayer on the side of my blog {in pink} which you can pray and begin your new life. The Bible says that your old life is now gone and your new life is here.

I pray whoever reads this finds what they are searching for. Jesus is the only One who can satisfy. I love you all, lovely blog readers!! Have a blessed night!

Who Are You Looking For?

"Jesus said to her, "Woman why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?"' John 20:15

Everyone is searching for something. Many people find what they think they are looking for, others never do and just continue to search and search. All of us are looking for someone to love us. Some of us find that someone, others don't ever find that person.

There is Someone who loves you more than you may or can ever know! There is Someone who has so much passion for you and you are the very apple of His eye. That Someone is Jesus Christ and He is crazy about you!!! To meet Him all you have to do is ask Him into your heart.

You know what? Jesus has a plan for you and your life. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,"declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." He has had it planned before you even born. Each day you live, God has already planned that out and you didn't even know that. He knows what you are gonna do before you even do it. That's what makes God's grace even MORE incredible is the fact that He already knows that you and me are going to sin, He already knows that we are going to fall short and do things that don't honor Him and yet He still loves us more than we can know and He still forgives us even when we don't deserve it.

I've got to tell you (whoever you are) that I am not perfect and never will be perfect and I struggle and fail the Lord all the time. Just because I am a Christian doesn't mean that I will be a perfect person or even close to perfect. The only One who is perfect is Jesus and if we (you and me) were perfect then His very being wouldn't be as special as it truly is.

Today, don't strive to be perfect or to control everything in your life, just hand it all over to the Lord. Lay it at His feet, because He is truly the only One who can ever help you with life. Why? Because HE IS LIFE.

Whom are you seeking today?

I love you and more importantly Jesus does!!!!!!! I pray you are blessed.

Our Lost Generation

Well, I keep running into things (blog posts, books, stories, etc.) that are talking about this generation and the younger generations and how they need an answer and an example and I feel God has placed it on my heart to talk with you about this.

You and I both know that this generation is lost. All generations have been but this one seems to be as in the days of Noah. I look around and see people worshipping the Lord and I'm like, yes! Finally our generation is getting it right, but then I look a little bit further and see people having sex with whomever and searching for love in different things (such as dating the same sex) and what I have to remember is that judging these people isn't right at all because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and no sin is ranked as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 worst sins. No God says in His Word that sin is sin, plain and simple.

Instead of judging someone why not give them what they are looking for? Love. And not just any love, God's love. But to give them that love we have to be willing to step out and to give them Jesus' love we have to show that love first so that they know it's real. Then they will figure out whether or not they want His love that satisfies. Sometimes you just have to let a person be in God's hands for awhile so that they can stumble all the way to ground and have nothing to do but look upward. Then they will get serious and realize that all they need is God because life in the world and of the world just isn't as great as life of the Lord and in the Lord.

So this post is to my Christian family and to my non-Christian family. If you don't know Jesus please let me know. If you want to accept Him into your heart right here and now pray the prayer on the side of my blog (in pink) and then find yourself a good Church where you can fellowship, a Bible (dig into the Word), and some worship Cd's (all you have to do is sit in the Lord's presence for a bit with a couple songs that focus on Him, not ourselves). I pray this ministers to you!!! Blessings to you~!!

From My Heart

I don't have anything or anyone except for Jesus.

This is true, I don't have a thing at all. Because at the end of everyday Jesus is the only One still there for me, the only One who still listens to me, and ultimately the only One who understands me, especially when I don't even understand myself half the time.

Jesus is ALL I have. There will be a day when everything that you and me have will be gone, it will fade away. But the one thing- the only thing that will not fade away is my relationship with Jesus Christ. And yours too. He is all we need and when we learn to depend solely on Him great things happen.

I believe that God is doing a work within me and I am really excited about that and a little nervous too. But I know that I know that I know that God works out ALL things (not just some things, but all things) for the good of those who love Him and do His will. I choose to do God's will even when it may make me uncomfortable or afraid or both. To do great things for God we must step out of our comfort zone and allow Him to work in our lives.

This post comes directly from my heart and I pray that it blesses you. Love y'all!!

Priorites Right?

What do you make time for?

I make time to eat, talk to people, workout- do things that I want to. But do we make time for Jesus? Time to spend with Him? Making God a priority is extremely important. If you only make time for things to do and not for spending time with the Lord your life is gonna be messed up, I'll tell you that right now.

Before I knew the Lord intimately I would only make time for myself. I knew that something didn't feel right and that I needed more of God in my life but never really thought to put action behind that thought until later on in life.

I don't want you to wait like I did. I want you to experience God's love for your life. So if you choose to have a new refreshing look into your relationship with Jesus all you have to do is pray about what time God wants you to spend time with Him. Once you find the time that works best for you (I spend time with Jesus in the morning but you can worship, pray, and read His Word in the afternoon or evening as long as that's the best time for you.)

God deserves to have some of our time, so keep your focus on Him and spend a little bit of time with the Lord. I love you all and I hope this blesses all who read it.

A Quote Worth Sharing...

I read a really good quote and I want to share it with you so here it is (hope you like it),

"I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; I will not refuse to do something I can do." Helen Keller

This quote by Helen Keller is amazing to me. What it says to me is if you are capable of doing something and it's in God's will and plan for your life then do it. I take so much for granted that I shouldn't and I think that this quote kinda puts life into perspective a bit. So I hope that the quote speaks to you and blesses you as it has me. Be blessed! Happy Sunday!

I Cry To You, My Lord

Lord, I'm down on my knees in awe of You. I've seen the world and what
it has to offer and nothing can compare to love that I have in You. I'll live
my life to Your glory, Father, because only glory to You matters. My desire
to be used by You grows every single day. My desire for all to see You in me grows as each day goes on. If no one in this whole world knows my name or my face I am completely fine with that. But if through me no one knows Your name or Your face then I have failed miserably. Lord Jesus, may I live a life that points all to You simply by my actions. My heart and flesh cry out from the very depths of me to You- that my life, my hands and my feet, will be used for You and by You. All honor and ALL praise belong to You, my Savior.

God Given Gifts

Hey blog family!! Wow, can you believe that it is August 1st? I really can't time has gone by really fast.

Okay, so I've been learning a lot of different things, but what I've mostly been learning about is gifts that God has given us. Each and every person has a gift. And sometimes more than one, but everyone is guaranteed to have at least one gift. But it's up to you how you use that gift that God has given you.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about what my gifts and talents are, to be honest I'm still not completely sure what they are, but I really do feel that I have the gift of encouragement. And I take true honor in that. How will I use my gift? For God's glory! God deserves all praise and honor and it all belongs to Him anyway. Since God gave you the gifts and abilities that you have why wouldn't you use them to give back to Him?

If you use your gifts and abilities to glorify God, you will be blessed. And if you pass on those blessings to other people you will be even more blessed. And then that person can pass on those blessings to someone else and then we can have a domino affect. And all glory will go back to God who gave you the blessings and gifts you have to bless other people! Either way, God is going to be glorified and that should excite you!!!!!

So if you want to know what your gifts are all you have to do is pray about it. Then ask other people what they think your gifts are. Between the two of those you should know what gifts God has given you. Now it's time to choose how you are going to use those gifts- for the Lord or for satan? You have to pick one or the other because ultimately you will be on either God's side or satans.

I pray that you choose Jesus Christ because He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE. No other one and no thing can get you to Heaven except for Him. Be blessed!!
