She's laying in a hospital bed right now in the ICU.
I just met this sweet woman about a month and a half ago. In that short time I've been blessed by her meekness, and her courage to speak up when she feels she needs to (considering she told she doesn't like to talk a lot, but she does anyway. ^_^ ).
Car accident. 9 broken ribs. Broken pelvis. Several other injuries.
1 friend dead. Another injured.
And so I thought this morning about how hopeless this situation would seem to someone who doesn't believe in the Lord. I thought about how difficult it would be to find something to see hope in. Then, I thought about how much hope we have in and through Christ. We have the reality of praying to the Father and knowing He hears us.
And He answers.
But sometimes His answers are slower than we want. Sometimes His answers are no's and sometimes His answers come in such unexpected ways.
And those unexpected answers can bring great delight or great distress, but we must remember that we serve a God who works all things together for good.
And so I'm praying with a whole lot of others. We're believing the Lord for a miracle. I ask you to join us, praying for this lovely woman and her friend and their friends and family who are quite concerned. Pray God uses this to draw others closer to Him.
Lord, Thy will be done.
"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him." - 1 John 5:14-15 (emphasis mine)
